We can find many types of masks made in China as GB 2626 masks, GB/T 32610 masks, GB 19083 masks, etc. We will discuss about which is better and which can protect us during the corona virus epidemic in the following contents.

How many types of GB marked masks in the market?

When we talked about the masks made in China now, we mainly mean the masks with Chinese standards marks for protecting us from the virus. And we can find many different types in the market or from friends. Are these masks can protect us? Or which one we should use?

For now, the most popular GB marked masks are GB 2626 masks, GB/T 32610 masks and GB 19083 masks. We can talk about the standards they are according to in order to make sure the difference between the masks.

GB/T 32610 Technical specification of daily protective mask.

GB 2626 Respiratory protective equipment-Non-powered air-purifying particle respirator.

GB 19083 Technical requirements for protective face mask for medical use.

different chinese standard masks

For the applications, GB/T 32610 masks are used to protect us from the air pollution like PM 2.5 particulate matters. It is not suitable for underwater work, firefighter, medical use or industry protection. GB 2626 masks are suitable for protecting from dust, mist, fume, microorganism and others. It is not suitable for hazardous gas or underwater work, firefighter work. GB 19083 masks are suitable for medical work environment.

What’s the difference between GB 2626 mask and GB 19083 mask?

GB 2626 and GB 19083 are both mandatory standards. They have similar classification for PFE performance but GB 2626 mark masks require Oil particle test for particle filtration efficiency test because the GB 2626 masks also used for industry as labor protection. During the epidemic, N particle filtration efficiency is enough for us. Because the filtration efficiency is more important than the particle types. Mostly, the GB 19083 masks have more strict requirements for particle filtration. All types of GB 19083 masks are KN 95 or above. When you choose GB 2626 mask, you’d better choose KN 95 or above. KN 90 of GB 2626 is also a choice when you don’t have better option.

gb2626 and gb19083 masks

GB 19083 marked masks also requires blood penetration resistance test. Because the GB 19083 masks are used for clinic staff, they have the risk to face spattered blood from the infected person. The masks with great synthetic blood penetration resistance performance can provide better protection for the medical staff.

The GB 19083 masks don’t have valve. So wearing a GB 19083 masks is not very comfortable but it can protect both ourselves and others. When you have suspected symptoms, please choose the masks without valves. (PFE measured by mask particulate filtration efficiency tester)

KP 100≥99.97%

What’s the difference between GB 2626 mask and GB/T 32610 mask?

GB/T 32610 masks also require particle filtration efficiency test. It uses the same test parameters as GB 2626 test. Choosing ClassⅡ or ClassⅠof GB/T 32610 masks is a better choice.

Standard GB/T 32610 GB 2626-2006
Disposable Daily protective mask Respiratory protective equipment

ClassⅢ≥90%

P (Paraffin oil) particles:

For GB/T 32610 marked masks, there are different marked method. Because sometimes you will find the marked parameter is Grade A. The Grade A to D is determined by the leakage of the mask.

The GB/T 32610 mask Grade A means leakage is less than 10% and PFE has to be over ClassⅡ. For Grade B (Leakage is less than 15%), Grade C (Leakage is less than 25%) and Grade D (Leakage is less than 35%), the PFE has reached ClassⅢ.

So when we choose GB/T 32610 masks, Grade A is a great choice. Grade B masks can also protect us during the daily life.

When you choose the GB 19083 marked masks, they can provide great protection and all they are KN 95 or above.

When you choose the GB 2626 marked masks, please choose KN 95 or above. If you only have the option of KN 90, it is a plan B.

When you choose the GB/T 32610 masks, please choose Grade A or Grade B.

If you have to choose one from KN 90 of GB 2626 mask and GB/T 32610 mask Grade B, please choose the KN90 masks.gb2626 and gb19083 masks

      • The GB / T 32610 mask is a daily protective mask, not for medical use such as the third category, because it is not adherent enough or for filtering itself?

      • Different standard has different test requirements, for the GB/T 32610, it hasn’t medical test such as synthetic blood penetration test, bacterial filtration efficiency test. These points are very important for medical mask.
